Due to the new information that was released by the City of Springfield at today’s press conference (5/20) we are required to cancel the 2020 Ozark Empire PRCA Pro Rodeo scheduled for May 29-30, 2020. The Ozark Empire Fairgrounds did everything in our power to make this event happen including sending updated mitigation to the City and moving the event to our Grandstand to increase social distancing. Based on the current regulations we would be able to only allow 393 patrons within the entire 8,000 seat Grandstand; this makes hosting the event impossible. We would like to thank PRCA for their hard work and diligence in submitting their mitigation plans to keep both participants and patrons safe. At this time, it is not feasible to reschedule the rodeo for 2020. Our apologies go out to PRCA, WPRA, Sponsors, Contractors, Cowboys, Cowgirls and patrons. We did everything we could. The Ozark Empire PRCA Pro Rodeo has had eight great years and we hope to keep the tradition in 2021. All ticket holders that purchased tickets online will be issued automatic refunds for the ticket value.
