THE PURPOSE
The Ozark Empire Fair Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 2003. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving and cultivating Southwest Missouri's rich agricultural heritage by supporting youth in agriculture and improving the facilities on the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
IT’S ABOUT THE KIDS
The signature event of the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation was first held in 2004 and its primary purpose is to recognize the efforts of Southwest Missouri 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors who have qualified for the auction, and to award youth grants and scholarships. Take the opportunity to bid on the Top 8 Steers, Top 3 Lambs, Hogs and Goats, Top 4 Hams and Top 2 Broiler Pens. Since the event's inception, nearly $2,170,267.30 has been awarded to the kids.
RESTORING THE FAIRGROUNDS
Funds generated from the event are also applied toward additions and improvements to the home of the Ozark Empire Fair. Over $3,000,000 in improvement projects and equipment has been made possible thanks to the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation.
